BingoPlus Foundation Champions Sports Development at ISP

The inaugural International Series Philippines (ISP) not only marked the country’s debut on the world-class golf stage but also highlighted a strong commitment to sports and community development, thanks to the BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp.

Presented by BingoPlus, the flagship brand of DigiPlus, the ISP positioned the Philippines as a premier destination for international sports events. Through the tournament, the BingoPlus Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to empowering athletes and fostering local sports development.

BingoPlus Boosts Filipino Sports

During the week-long event, the BingoPlus Foundation contributed ₱17.2 million to key partners in sports and community development. Beneficiaries included the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP), the Asian Development Tour (ADT), and the Sisidlan Rizal Weavers.

A notable ₱8 million donation to the PSC aims to strengthen athletic programs nationwide and provide young Filipino athletes with opportunities to excel on the global stage. PSC Commissioner Fritz Gaston highlighted that this contribution will directly support grassroots training and development for aspiring athletes, ensuring that the next generation of national champions has the resources they need.

BingoPlus donated US$50,000 to the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) and a check for US$100,000 to the Asian Development Tour (ADT).

Investing in Golf and Future Champions

To expand local golf, the Foundation allocated USD 50,000 to NGAP and USD 100,000 to ADT, introducing the prestigious International Series to the Philippines. This partnership guarantees a Filipino golfer a coveted slot in the international series, opening doors for emerging talents while showcasing the country’s world-class golf facilities.

Jasper Vicencio, President of BingoPlus, emphasized: “By investing in this tournament, we’re not just funding a competition, we’re helping shape future champions. This is about creating world-class opportunities for Filipinos right here at home.”

The BingoPlus Foundation and GameZone donated 500,000 pesos to support their businesses and advocacy, empower female entrepreneurs, and create more jobs in Rizal.

Celebrating Filipino Artistry and Heritage

The Foundation’s support extended beyond sports. In partnership with BingoPlus and GameZone, it donated ₱500,000 to the Sisidlan Rizal Weavers, empowering local artisans and promoting sustainable livelihoods. The donation supports the Weavers’ mission to create jobs for women while celebrating Filipino craftsmanship during events like the golf tournament’s Welcome Gala and LIV Golf Music Fest.

Sharonette Roquios, Founder of Sisidlan Weavers, expressed gratitude: “Every fiber we weave builds stronger families and brighter futures. The BingoPlus Foundation’s support helps us elevate Filipino craftsmanship and empower our women.”

The event showcased handmade works, aiming to raise the level of handicrafts in the Philippines and empower our women.

Driving Community Impact

BingoPlus Foundation Executive Director Angela Camins-Wieneke reflected on the broader impact: “Events like this bring energy to the community—from tourism and local jobs to inspiring the next generation of athletes. We’ll continue creating avenues where every Filipino can play, compete, and thrive.”

The inaugural International Series Philippines exemplifies how world-class sports events can drive both athletic excellence and community development, with the BingoPlus Foundation leading the way in nurturing Filipino talent and heritage.
