In a dual celebration of altruism and tradition, nearly 120 employees of DigiPlus Interactive Corp. participated in a blood donation drive on June 10, ahead of World Blood Donor Day. The event, organized in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and BingoPlus Foundation, also incorporated festivities for the Dragon Boat Festival—a traditional Asian holiday that fell on the same date.
To enhance employee engagement, DigiPlus creatively linked the blood donation initiative with the Dragon Boat Festival, infusing the activity with cultural significance. Andy Tsui, DigiPlus President and BingoPlus Foundation Chairman, explained the symbolism:
“Just as dragon boat teams paddle in unison to the beat of a drum, this blood drive represents how collective action—driven by a shared purpose—can create a meaningful impact. We wanted to make the experience both meaningful and enjoyable for our employees.”
Over the past year, BingoPlus Foundation has collaborated with the Philippine Red Cross on ten blood donation drives to help alleviate the country’s blood supply shortages. This initiative aligns with the Foundation’s broader health and wellness advocacy, which focuses on improving healthcare accessibility for communities.
