PASIG CITY, Philippines — The BingoPlus Foundation recently organized a feeding and gift-giving program for the Grade 1 students of Caniogan Elementary School in Pasig City. This initiative highlights the Foundation’s ongoing dedication to supporting youth development.
Around 150 students attended the half-day event, which was led by DigiPlus Interactive Corporation Volunteers, along with the school’s teachers. The event kicked off with a series of nutrition-themed, prize-based games, followed by an informative presentation on nutrition. The activities culminated in the Foundation-sponsored feeding program.
During the program, the children were actively engaged with additional games and a storytelling session of “Ang Alamat ng Ampalaya” by one of the teachers. The event concluded with the distribution of food packs to all 150 first-grade students. The packs, placed in reusable eco-bags, included notebooks, milk, malt drinks, and biscuit packs.
Caniogan Elementary School Principal, Dennis Alex, expressed gratitude for the program, stating that it came at a pivotal time as the school works to bridge the learning gap caused by the pandemic. “This initiative is in perfect alignment with our school’s recovery plan,” Alex noted. “We are able to continue the children’s education and interaction, which were greatly affected by two years of the pandemic.”
Next Steps for BingoPlus Foundation
Although initially founded in 2017 as Leisure & Resorts World Foundation, BingoPlus Foundation is now revamping its mission. The Foundation plans to undertake more significant initiatives in the coming year, focusing on four key areas: health, environment, education, and social welfare.
Christine Gabrieles, President of BingoPlus Foundation, shared her optimism for the future: “Our success at Caniogan Elementary School proves that we can do more for others. Our team is working hard to improve our framework and build partnerships to address issues in other sectors. We are just starting to plant our roots and are still exploring potential areas to make the most impact.”
