In celebration of Pride Month, BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of Digiplus Interactive, has joined forces with Love Yourself PH—a volunteer-led organization providing free HIV testing, counseling, and support—to amplify awareness about HIV and encourage more Filipinos to prioritize their health.
As part of this advocacy, BingoPlus Foundation donated ₱500,000 to Love Yourself PH to expand access to HIV self-testing kits nationwide and help bridge the gap in HIV testing rates. According to the Department of Health (DOH), only 40% of the target testing rate has been achieved, with an alarming 50 new HIV cases reported daily in the Philippines.
“The rising number of HIV cases calls for urgent action,”
said Andy Tsui, President of Digiplus and Chairman of BingoPlus Foundation.
“Through this partnership, we hope to break down barriers to testing, empower individuals to know their status, and ultimately curb the spread of HIV—regardless of age or gender.”
Pride Run 2024: A Celebration of Health, Inclusion, and Advocacy
The donation was formally turned over during the historic RUNRIO Pride Run 2024, held on June 22 at SM by the BAY, Pasay City. Co-presented by Arena Plus, Digiplus’ 24/7 sports betting app, the event promoted health, inclusivity, and safe self-expression for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Over 5,000 runners, including LGBTQIA+ members and allies, participated in the 3K, 5K, and 10K race categories. As an advocacy partner, BingoPlus Foundation set up an interactive installation to inspire participants to spread love, get tested, and support HIV awareness.
“Pride is more than a celebration—it’s a movement for equality and acceptance,”
added Tsui.
“By fostering inclusion and self-care, we can multiply both the joy and the positive impact we create together.”
Through initiatives like this, BingoPlus Foundation reaffirms its commitment to health, diversity, and social progress, ensuring that Pride Month’s spirit of solidarity extends beyond June.
