Foundation Deploys Earthquake Relief to Cebu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CEBU CITY \u2014 In response to the <strong>6.9 magnitude earthquake<\/strong> that struck Cebu and nearby provinces on September 30, 2025, <strong>DigiPlus Interactive Corp.<\/strong>, through its social development arm <strong>BingoPlus Foundation<\/strong>, swiftly mobilized relief operations for the hardest-hit communities in the province\u2019s northern corridor.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>October 5, 2025<\/strong>, the Foundation distributed <strong>1,000 family relief packs<\/strong> to affected residents in the municipalities of <strong>Daanbantayan and Medellin<\/strong>, made possible by BingoPlus employee volunteers from Cebu-based branches.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" kit<\/li>\n<li>Basic medicine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deployment supported approximately <strong>1,000 households<\/strong> or <strong>5,000 individuals<\/strong>, prioritizing communities that had yet to receive adequate external aid.<\/p>\n<p>Relief goods were prepared from the DigiPlus warehouse in Para\u00f1aque and delivered within<strong> three days<\/strong> of the quake\u2014highlighting the organization\u2019s logistical readiness and rapid emergency coordination.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2277\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201c<strong>These are communities that need swift, reliable help,<\/strong>\u201d said <strong>Paul Henczen Tamayo<\/strong>, Program Manager for Resilience and Healthcare of BingoPlus Foundation. \u201cThrough our <strong>BayanihanPlus<\/strong> initiative, we work with local leaders to reach underserved areas fast and responsibly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>Dan Kemuel Mabano<\/strong>, BingoPlus Area Manager for Cebu, \u201cInitial assessment led us to Bogo and San Remigio, but ground reports showed that volunteers from Cebu City, Mandaue, and Talisay personally assisted in last-mile distribution and on-ground coordination, ensuring help reached households despite transport congestion and repeated aftershocks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was challenging to bring relief into the northernmost barangays, but teamwork made it possible,\u201d shared <strong>Judaline Geraldez<\/strong>, Branch Manager of
