The grant includes training for teachers and equipment that will benefit local students\u2014like Grade 12 innovator Angeline, a finalist at the 2024 National Science and Technology Fair.<\/p>\n<p>Funds will also help Angeline further develop her projects, including a <strong>mini weather system<\/strong> and a <strong>breast cancer detection prototype<\/strong> aimed at helping under-resourced communities.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Vision_Education_Support_for_Karolano_Community\"><\/span>Vision &amp; Education Support for Karolano Community<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To empower the Karolano indigenous group in Kabankalan, the Foundation committed <strong>\u20b11 million<\/strong> to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Provide <strong>vision screenings and prescription lenses<\/strong> for elders across 12 barangays.<\/li>\n<li>Equip Karolano youth scholars with educational <strong>tablets<\/strong>, helping bridge the digital divide.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This initiative supports both cultural preservation and future development for indigenous communities.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Upgrades_for_Valladolid_District_Hospital\"><\/span>Upgrades for Valladolid District Hospital<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A <strong>\u20b11.5 million grant<\/strong> was awarded to <strong>Valladolid District Hospital<\/strong> to enhance its facilities and care for indigent patients.
